One address, two verdicts: "no risk detected" and "medium risk"

We checked the same BNB Chain address in another AML service's free check and in ours.

THE OTHER SERVICE

"No risk detected", risk 10%. Below it, a list of links: exchange, DEX, bridges and "Exchange_Sanctioned_Gb". Every share is hidden behind "??%", details only after a top-up.

AMLCONSENSUS

Medium risk, 55 out of 100. Sanctions lists and blacklists — clean. But there is direct contact with HTX, an exchange under UK sanctions (May 2026), which also faces restrictions in the EU. The share of turnover is small, but the transfer was direct, with no intermediaries.

WHY THE NUMBERS DIFFER

Both services see the same data: a link to a sanctioned exchange. The difference is the conclusion. "10%, no risk" sounds reassuring. But exchanges and payment partners in Europe and the UK may ask questions about funds that came directly from a sanctioned venue. That's why we don't bury this kind of contact in the fine print.

WHAT TO LOOK AT IN ANY AML CHECK
